Ratiometric
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004701
Describing a measurement technique where an output signal is proportional to a ratio of two input signals, rather than to an absolute value. This method reduces the effects of variations in the power supply or reference voltage on the accuracy of the measurement. A ratiometric sensor might provide an output voltage that is a fraction of its supply voltage.
