Reticulated

Describing masonry in which diamond-shaped or square-faced stones or blocks are laid with their corners pointing up, so the joints run diagonally and form a net-like pattern across the wall face. The Romans used this facing, called opus reticulatum, over a concrete core. In utility work, reticulation names the network of distribution pipes serving a site.
