Slew

To move a section of railway track laterally, either to correct alignment, adjust curvature, or shift the track to a new position. This operation is performed using specialized track-laying equipment that lifts and repositions the rails and sleepers simultaneously. Slew limits are specified in track maintenance standards, such as those set by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) in the United States.
