A unit of mass in the Imperial system, defined as the mass that accelerates at one foot per second squared when a force of one pound-force is applied to it. It is primarily used in engineering and physics calculations involving dynamic systems. One slug is approximately equal to 32.174 pounds-mass or 14.594 kilograms.
