Stockpile

A large accumulation of mined ore, waste rock, or processed material stored on the surface, awaiting further processing, transportation, or disposal. Stockpiles are managed to balance production rates with processing capacity or market demand. The volume of a stockpile is often measured in cubic meters or tons.
