Third Law of Robotics

A principle stating that a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. This law introduces a self-preservation directive for robots, subordinate to human safety and obedience to human commands. It completes a set of three rules designed to govern robotic ethics.
