Trimpot
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006187
A small, three-terminal variable resistor, also known as a trimming potentiometer, designed for infrequent adjustment on a printed circuit board. It is set during manufacturing or calibration to fine-tune a circuit's performance, such as setting a reference voltage or adjusting sensor sensitivity. Unlike a panel-mounted potentiometer meant for user operation, a trimpot is adjusted with a small screwdriver and is not intended for regular access.
