Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007359
A modulation technique where one sideband of a modulated signal is partially suppressed, while the other sideband and the carrier are transmitted in full. This method conserves bandwidth compared to double-sideband modulation while retaining some of the benefits of full sideband transmission. VSB is widely used in analog television broadcasting.
