Widow-maker

A detached or broken tree limb, branch, or tree top that is lodged in another tree and poses a falling hazard to workers below. This unstable overhead debris can be dislodged by wind, vibration, or further tree felling operations. Such hazards require careful assessment and removal by trained arborists or loggers before work proceeds in the area.
