Windbreak

A barrier of trees, shrubs, or artificial structures planted or constructed to reduce wind speed and protect agricultural fields, livestock, or farmsteads. Windbreaks mitigate soil erosion, conserve moisture, and provide shelter for animals. They can reduce wind velocity by up to 50% for a distance of ten to twenty times their height.
