Wrest

The component of a moldboard plow that turns and inverts the furrow slice after it has been cut by the coulter and plowshare. It is positioned behind the share and is curved to lift the soil, break it, and lay it over into the adjacent furrow. The shape of the wrest determines the final form of the plowed land.
