"Absolute" exclusions

Policy provisions that eliminate coverage for specific perils or types of claims without exception or qualification. These exclusions are drafted to be as broad as possible, leaving no ambiguity regarding the lack of coverage for the stated circumstances. An example is an absolute pollution exclusion, which removes coverage for all pollution-related damages regardless of cause or intent.
