Associational discrimination

Unlawful discrimination against an individual based on their association with another person who is a member of a protected class. This can occur in employment, housing, or public accommodations, where an individual is treated unfavorably due to their relationship with someone of a different race, religion, or disability. Federal laws like Title VII of the Civil Rights Act prohibit this form of discrimination.
