Sexual orientation discrimination

Unfair treatment of an individual in employment based on their actual or perceived sexual orientation. This form of discrimination can manifest in hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, or other terms and conditions of employment. While not explicitly covered by federal law like Title VII, many state and local laws, as well as Supreme Court rulings, prohibit it.
