Continuous injury trigger

A legal theory used in liability insurance to determine which policy or policies are activated when an injury or property damage occurs over an extended period. This trigger holds that all policies in effect from the initial exposure to the manifestation of damage are potentially responsible. It is commonly applied in cases involving environmental pollution or asbestos-related diseases.
