Jones Act

A federal law, formally known as the Merchant Marine Act of 1920, that regulates maritime commerce in the United States. It requires goods shipped between U.S. ports to be transported on U.S.-built, U.S.-owned, U.S.-crewed, and U.S.-flagged vessels.
