Laser exclusion
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001958
An exclusionary endorsement that removes coverage for one specific, named exposure, such as an individual claimant, a particular product, substance, or project, while leaving the rest of the policy intact. Insurers typically use it at renewal to carve out a known problem rather than decline the account. It appears in claims-made general liability policies and in medical stop-loss contracts, where a named high-cost individual is carved out.
