After-acquired title
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-000429
A legal doctrine where title to real property, obtained by a grantor after they have already conveyed the property to another, automatically passes to the prior grantee. This principle prevents a grantor from later claiming superior title to land they previously purported to transfer. It operates to perfect the grantee's title without further action.
