Articles of Impeachment

Formal written accusations of misconduct against a public official, adopted by the House of Representatives. These articles specify the charges that, if proven, could lead to the official's removal from office. Once adopted, they are sent to the Senate for a trial, where a two-thirds vote is required for conviction and removal.
