Business record exception

An exception to the hearsay rule in evidence law, allowing certain records made in the regular course of business to be admitted as evidence. To qualify, the record must have been made at or near the time by someone with knowledge, kept in the course of a regularly conducted business activity, and it must have been the regular practice of that business activity to make the record. This exception is codified in Federal Rule of Evidence 803(6).
