Past recollection recorded

An exception to the hearsay rule that allows a witness to read into evidence a memorandum or record of an event if the witness once had knowledge of the event but now has insufficient recollection to testify fully and accurately. The record must have been made or adopted by the witness when the matter was fresh in their memory and accurately reflected that knowledge. The record itself is not admitted as an exhibit unless offered by an adverse party.
