Business records exception

An exception to the hearsay rule in evidence law, allowing certain records made in the regular course of a business activity to be admitted as evidence in court. For a record to qualify, it must have been made at or near the time by someone with knowledge, kept in the course of a regularly conducted business activity, and it must have been the regular practice of that business activity to make the record. This exception is codified in Federal Rule of Evidence 803(6).
