Complainant

The party who initiates a legal action or makes a formal accusation in a court of law or before an administrative body. This individual or entity alleges a wrong or injury and seeks a legal remedy. In criminal cases, the complainant is often the victim of a crime, while in civil cases, they are the plaintiff.
