Consent

Voluntary agreement by a person to the proposal or acts of another, given freely and without coercion, duress, or fraud. For consent to be legally valid, the person must have the capacity to understand the nature and consequences of their agreement. In many legal contexts, such as contracts or medical procedures, consent must be informed and explicit.
