Implied consent

Agreement to an action or proposal that is not expressly stated but is inferred from a person's conduct, silence, or the surrounding circumstances. In medical contexts, a patient's actions, such as extending an arm for a blood draw, can signify implied consent. Driving on public roads implies consent to chemical tests for intoxication in many jurisdictions.
