Implied warranty

A guarantee that arises by operation of law, rather than being explicitly stated by the seller or manufacturer. These warranties are automatically included in sales contracts unless specifically disclaimed. The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) governs implied warranties for the sale of goods in the United States.
