A guarantee or promise made by a seller or manufacturer regarding the quality, condition, or performance of a product or service. This assurance provides the buyer with certain rights if the product or service fails to meet the stated standards. Warranties can be express, explicitly stated, or implied by law, such as the warranty of merchantability.
