Contractual lien

A security interest in property created by an express agreement between a debtor and a creditor. This lien grants the creditor the right to seize and sell the specified property if the debtor defaults on their obligations. Common examples include mortgages and security agreements for personal property, which are typically recorded to provide public notice.
