Court trial

A legal proceeding where a judge, rather than a jury, hears the evidence and determines both the facts and the applicable law to render a verdict. This type of trial is also known as a bench trial. Court trials are common in cases where the parties waive their right to a jury or in certain types of legal actions, such as family law matters.
