Crime against humanity

Specific inhumane acts committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack. These acts include murder, extermination, enslavement, deportation, imprisonment, torture, rape, and persecution. They are defined and prosecuted under international law, such as the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
