Dispute

A disagreement between two or more parties over a point of law, a question of fact, or a claim to a right or property. A legal dispute arises when one party alleges that another has infringed its rights, and it may be resolved by negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation. To be justiciable in a United States federal court under Article III, a dispute must be concrete and adverse.
