Fact pleading

A system of pleading in civil litigation that requires a plaintiff to allege specific facts supporting each element of their claim, rather than merely stating legal conclusions. This approach aims to provide the defendant with sufficient notice of the claims against them. Many jurisdictions have moved towards notice pleading, which requires less factual specificity.
