Foreseeable risk

A potential danger or harm that a reasonable person would anticipate or expect to occur under certain circumstances. In tort law, a defendant is generally held liable only for injuries resulting from risks that were foreseeable. The concept of foreseeability is central to determining negligence and duty of care.
