Fraud in the inducement
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-002223
A type of fraud where one party is intentionally misled about the facts or terms of a contract, causing them to enter into an agreement they would not have otherwise made. The deception relates to the subject matter or terms of the contract itself, rather than the nature of the document. This renders the contract voidable at the option of the defrauded party.
