Guaranteed signature

A certification by a financial institution, such as a bank or brokerage firm, that the signature of an individual on a document is genuine. This endorsement protects against fraudulent transfers of securities and other financial assets. It is often required for transactions involving the transfer of ownership of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.
