International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia

An ad hoc international court established by the United Nations Security Council in 1993 to prosecute individuals responsible for serious violations of international humanitarian law committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991. It had jurisdiction over war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. The ICTY concluded its work in 2017.
