Intimidation

The act of making someone fearful or hesitant through threats, harassment, or coercive behavior, often to compel them to act against their will or to prevent them from exercising their rights. In a legal context, it can constitute a crime, such as witness intimidation, or be a factor in determining duress or lack of consent. Laws against intimidation aim to protect individuals from undue influence and coercion.
