Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-002964

A cause that is sufficiently related to an injury to hold the defendant legally responsible for that injury, also known as proximate cause. It requires a direct causal link between the defendant's conduct and the plaintiff's injury, beyond mere factual causation.
