Liquid asset

Cash or any asset that can be converted into cash quickly with little to no loss of value. In legal contexts, such as bankruptcy or estate settlement, identifying and valuing these assets is a primary step in satisfying debts and distributing property. Examples include money in checking or savings accounts, marketable securities like stocks and bonds, and money market instruments.
