Master trust

A single trust established to hold the assets of multiple employee benefit plans, such as pension or profit-sharing plans, sponsored by a single employer or a group of related employers. This structure allows for centralized investment management and reporting for all participating plans, potentially reducing administrative costs and increasing investment diversification. Each participating plan maintains its separate accounting records within the master trust.
