Moral certainty

A standard of proof that implies a high degree of conviction, falling short of absolute mathematical certainty, but sufficient to remove all reasonable doubt in the mind of a reasonable person. This concept is sometimes used interchangeably with 'beyond a reasonable doubt' in criminal law. It signifies a firm belief in the truth of a proposition.
