Physician-assisted suicide

The practice where a physician provides a terminally ill patient with the means to end their own life, typically through a prescription for lethal medication. The patient must self-administer the medication. This practice is legal in a limited number of U.S. states and is subject to strict eligibility criteria, including a prognosis of six months or less to live.
