Ripe

Describing a legal dispute or issue that is ready for judicial review because all necessary preconditions have been met and the controversy is sufficiently developed. A case is considered ripe when it presents a concrete injury or threat, rather than a hypothetical or abstract question. Courts generally avoid hearing cases that are not yet ripe to prevent advisory opinions.
