Self-declared trust

A trust where the settlor (the person creating the trust) also acts as the sole trustee, holding legal title to the trust property for the benefit of designated beneficiaries. This arrangement allows the settlor to retain control over the assets while establishing a formal trust structure. It is commonly used for estate planning purposes, such as revocable living trusts.
