Special power of appointment

A legal right granted to a person, known as the donee, to designate the recipients of property from a trust or estate, but only from a limited class of beneficiaries. The donee cannot appoint the property to themselves, their estate, their creditors, or the creditors of their estate. This power provides flexibility in estate planning while restricting the donee's discretion to specific individuals or groups.
