Donee

The person, trust, or entity that receives a gift of property from a donor. For a transfer of property to be a completed gift, the donee must accept it, which can be done either expressly or through their actions, such as taking possession of the property. In the context of a power of appointment, the donee is the person given the authority by a donor to designate who will receive certain property.
