Subsequent remedial measures

Actions taken after an injury or harm has occurred that would have made the injury or harm less likely to occur. Evidence of such measures is generally inadmissible in court to prove negligence, culpable conduct, a defect in a product, or a need for a warning. This rule encourages entities to make safety improvements without fear of legal repercussions.
