Taxpayer bill of rights

A set of legal protections and entitlements afforded to individuals and businesses when dealing with a tax authority. These rights typically include the right to be informed, the right to quality service, the right to pay no more than the correct amount of tax, and the right to appeal decisions. In the United States, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has codified a Taxpayer Bill of Rights.
