Wills: writing requirement

The legal stipulation that a will must be in written form to be valid, rather than oral. This requirement provides clear evidence of the testator's intentions and reduces the potential for fraud or misinterpretation. Holographic wills, written entirely in the testator's handwriting, are an exception in some jurisdictions.
