Alluvial

Relating to or composed of alluvium, which is the sediment of clay, silt, sand, and gravel deposited by flowing water. Alluvial deposits are found in riverbeds, floodplains, deltas, and alluvial fans, forming fertile soils. The term distinguishes these water-transported materials from sediments deposited by wind, ice, or gravity.
